Looking for a heartfelt two-hander to sink your teeth into? Mary’s Wedding blends first love, memory, and the shadow of WWI into a moving story with rich text work and dynamic scene shifts. This production will double-cast (2 teams performing alternate nights), offering excellent performance opportunities for 4 actors.
Audition Dates and Formats
In-Person Auditions
- Sunday, October 19, 7:00–9:00 PM
- Location: Pond Playhouse, 6 Parkhill Road, Halifax, NS
- Sides: Readings will be provided at the theatre.
Online Auditions (by appointment)
- October 15–16, 7:00–9:00 PM
- Sides will be emailed upon confirmation.
Self-Tape Option (if you can’t attend):
- Submit an audio or video of a prepared, contemporary dramatic monologue, plus a headshot/selfie.
- Deadline: October 14 (inclusive).

Roles
Please note: Age ranges are guidelines
- Mary (25–45): Compassionate, proper, a bit of a dreamer.
- Also plays Flowers: a sergeant in the 5th Battalion, Charlie’s commanding officer and mentor.
- Charlie (25–45): A local farm boy. Hard-working, kind, dutiful.
Casting note: This production is double-cast, each team performs on alternate nights.
Rehearsal and Performance Schedule
