TAG Tickets - FAQ's
For general information about the Theatre, please visit our FAQ's page.
1. Ticket Atlantic told me there is a service fee. How much is it?
All
TAG prices include the Ticket Atlantic service fees, except where tickets are purchased online. When purchased online, an additional $2 service fee
per online session will be applied.
2. What are your box office hours?
Box Office services are provided by Ticket Atlantic outlets at many Superstores, the Metro Centre and by telephone. Please refer to
Ticket Atlantic and Superstore for hours of operation. In addition, the Theatre’s Box Office is open 45 minutes before and during each scheduled performance.
3. Can I purchase tickets at the Pond Playhouse?
On any evening during which a show is running, you can drop by the theatre and purchase a ticket for that evening’s show (subject to availability) or purchase a ticket for a future performance of the current production. Yes, TAG has our own ticket printer. We accept cash or cheque when you purchase tickets at the theatre.
4. The performance I have tickets for has been cancelled, do I get a refund?
YES. While uncommon, the Theatre Arts Guild may, under exceptional circumstances, cancel a performance. In that circumstance, ticket holders will be issued a full refund. Tickets can be returned in person to the Ticket Atlantic box office or by mail to
Ticket Atlantic unless otherwise specified. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used for the purchase.
5. I no longer want/need the tickets I purchased, can I get a refund?
NO. Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your performance details: date and time. Policies set forth by Ticket Atlantic prohibit issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased.
6. My tickets say "General Admission" - what does this mean?
General admission means there are no assigned seats.
7. I have a large group who want to go to attend a performance. Is there a discount for buying a large quantity of tickets?
TAG does not offer group discounts due to the limited seating available for each show.
8. Is there a shopping time limit when I purchase online?
YES. When you choose tickets for purchase, you are reserving those seats and "holding" real inventory. No other customer can purchase those tickets unless you do not complete the transaction. Ticket Atlantic implements the time limit, usually 7 minutes (subject to change), giving every interested patron an equal chance to purchase tickets. This time starts after seats are chosen – you will see the clock in the red bar near the top centre of the screen. If this time expires before you have completed your transaction, your seats will be returned to the general inventory for sale. Please note that a slow internet connection may slow your process.
TIP: if planning to buy online for the first time, create an account now on the
registration page. This will reduce the time you need to fill in your information while purchasing.
NOTE: An additional service fee of $2
per transaction will apply to online purchases..
9. Does Tag sell subscriptions?
Not at this time.
10. Does TAG sell gift certificates?
11. I have a gift certificate. How do I redeem it for tickets?
Call the theatre directly at 477-2663 and we will arrange to redeem them for any performance subject to availability.
12. I'd like to have my tickets before the show but I can't make it to the box office to pick them up. Can I have my tickets mailed to me?
Yes, up to 10 days before an event, Ticket Atlantic sends tickets via Canada Post. The cost for this standard mailing is included in the price of your ticket. Ticket Atlantic aims to mail your tickets out to you within 2 weeks of purchase. However, circumstances may occasionally cause delays. If you do not have your tickets within 3 days of the performance, please call Ticket Atlantic at 451-1221.
13. I'm entitled to a member’s discount. How can I apply it to online ticket purchases?
We are currently unable to process discounts online. If you are eligible for a member's discount, please purchase by phone or in person and tell the clerk that you are a member. Discounts must be mentioned at the time of purchase.
14. I've lost my tickets! Can I get replacements?
Tickets, once issued, cannot be re-issued. Please keep your tickets in a safe place.
15. Do I need to purchase a ticket for my young child?
Each of TAG’s plays are for a certain age group. Everybody must purchase a ticket. TAG productions are not suitable for children under the age of 3 years. The live theatre experience, which includes a dark auditorium, bright lights, and sound effects, is too overwhelming for children under the age of 3 years. Babes in arms are not permitted in the theatre, out of courtesy to our audiences and our actors.
16. Does TAG have seating for special needs patrons?
TAG is wheelchair accessible however we do not offer amplification. Seats may be reserved at the front of the audience for those with special needs. Please let Ticket Atlantic know your seating needs at the time you purchase your ticket by phone. Sorry, this service is only available when booking by phone.
17. What happens if I arrive late for a performance?
We endeavour to minimize the inconvenience to our patrons and the actors when seating latecomers. Should you arrive late, you will be asked to remain in the lobby until a suitable break in the performance, at which time, Front of House staff will direct you to an available seat.
